Family Fun

Jeff was such a good sport with all the kids and they loved playing with him.
Kennedy loved the addition of the knee board this year and was able to stay on for a long time.For the past few years, Creg and Janae have hosted the Fielding Reunion at their cabin in Palisades. We have so much fun and appreciate their hospitality. It's a highlight of our summer! The setting couldn't be more beautiful. Look at this view from the cabin deck every morning - spectacular! We also get to enjoy watching the hummingbirds come and go.
We enjoy lots of activities and some relaxation. Of course the kids' favorite is going to the lake for boating. They have their own private dock and it's not crowded and easy access. We enjoy going in the raft behind the boat (and trying to hang on!), cliff diving, rowing in the small raft, jumping from the houseboat, catching snakes and other small critters, etc. Creg is known to be a crazy driver on the boat and enjoys seeing how long it takes to bump the kids off the raft. They could spend all day there (and actually have!) and not get tired. And they've stayed until they can barely see any more in the evening hours. The water is cold, but they get used to it. We also make crafts, watch movies, take hikes, eat good food, play cards, make s'mores around the fire, reminisce about the good ole' days, and even play a few tricks on each other. In years past, Uncle Ray has taken the kids on a scary walk when it gets dark. He wasn't able to attend this year, and the kids missed that (even though they can't sleep that night because they're scared). There's also a big rope swing, and a trampoline to play on.Thanks, Creg and Janae, for another great time this summer. We had lots of fun!
